Digital Citizenship

Digital Citizenship and copy rights are very important to me as an artist.
1. This is the work I create, if it is taken from me or stolen I can not make money on my own work. If an artist looses his or her rights over their own work they cannot make a living and art will die!

2. What someone says or does digitally will last forever! Make good choices as to what you allow out in the world on your behalf. Also it is important not to use others image or words without their knowledge or consent.

3. It is wrong to take others work! If you are using someone else's work you must quote them or give them credit or site them.

Tool #10

Sadly the art room will not be receiving iTouches this year.
I wish we could because there are so many wonderful we could
do with them. I have an iPhone myself and use several apps.
I do not know how I lived my life before I got my iPhone!!!

Tool #9

I love Skype! I learned about it when my husband was deployed! We were
able to see each other from 1/2 way around the world. He look so wonderful.

I plan on using this to set up video meetings with other art teachers
around the country that have exciting lesson plans going on. This way
The students can learn from more than one art teacher at a time.
Yeah!

Tool #7

I created a video to show case upcoming art lessons. This will be useful because students of today's world are use to learning through video.

Tool #6

I liked the application of this tool. I can have meetings about certian subjects on an ongoing basis with wiki links. On the blogs the subject can change quickly but on Wiki you can have a continual meeting about one subject.

Tool #5

For Tool number 5 I created a bookmark area with tags so I could easily find and pull up websites that will be useful in teaching my students about art. I selected an art site that is full of children's art work from all over the world. I also selected the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. I think these sites will help my students so I will need to be able to pull them up as fast as possiable.

For Tool #4 I created a slide show of cool art lessons I have discovered on Artsonia.
I think this will be a good was to show off my students' work.

Tool #3

I like the visuals we will be using because children today are more in-tune with this style of learning. I have not warmed up to the commercial aspect of all the new tools however.
