I see a cowboy..

Hubby dressed up like a cowboy for Halloween. The kids loved it. Seems strange, back home that would not even
be considered a costume...people dress like that everyday!

What is on my car?

THis is what I woke up to this morning.....I was almost late for school because I was scraping ice. It's October people what's up with the ice? Will this Texas girl ever get use to the cold?

It's snowing....

Today we had our first snow of the season. That is a phrase I never thought I would say! But it was really beautiful.
Hubby and I also saw something at Lowes we never saw in Houston......a snow shovel display.

My trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains....

Today the hubby and I went into the Blue Ridge Mountains for a lunch at my principal's house. Her home is up in the hills and backs up to the Shenandoah National park. It was so beautiful with all the hills and the leaves turning colors. So different from Houston....where there are no trees - no leaves changing colors and no hills!

The road to her home.

Her home.

The view off her porch.
